What is the fastest DVD reader??
Hi, I currently have a 16x DVD reader and I was wondering if there is a faster dvd reader. Thanks!

i don't believe there is, but someone correct me if i'm wrong.

however, there is always a geek somewhere that will do something outrageous (and possibly dangerous
) to stretch hardware to their limits, like the p4 overclocked to ~7GHz with liquid nitrogen cooling

Well it does perform well, A DVD that I had to compress 52.5% with a burning speed of 4x finished in 50 minutes 2 seconds.
As for the OC that would be extremely risky but awsome too, if someone does please feel free to post your results I am interested.
Also, what is the highest encoding speed you guys have reached? I have gotten to 16000 once but that was near the end of of the disc, usually it is 10,000 - 12,000 for the majority of the disc.Comment
