    DVD Author advise

Am going to purchase Tsunami DVD Author software -$49
I intend to re-author from DVD's made on a standalone DVD recorder (i.e. new menu & chapters)
They apparently have a DVD Author Pro $99 now. Is this worth the extra $$.
How about the DVD Easy Pack - $89- $20 rebate. This seems to offer the video encoder which if I'm using DVD files already I probably don't need or do I?

    Some advise please.

    Thanks

i think all you'll need is is the basic author tool, that package deal is a bunch of malarky i think. you must have been to the site, get the trial of the author tool and see (its a full working version for 30 days) , it will do your menu's etc since you won't have to encode, this should be all you need...

Can't find anyone with "DVD Author" in Stock. and to top it off there is a "DVD Author Pro" coming out in October. Comp USA has the DVD Easy pack for $89 - $20 rebate = $69. I could pick this up tommorrow, but the description on the box says "Easy Edition". This scares me - is this an inferior product designed for even less control over functions, or is it just the fact that it has the wizrd that combines all three programs into one interface.

"whats the story with the 'Easy Pack"

never used it. I use TDA for most authoring and encore dvd for more complex authoring.
