I was wondering if any knows of a dvd player that is just as compatabile as a computer? What i mean is my computer no matter what speed i burn at or what quailty disc or brande my computer allways plays them is there any company that makes a dvd player like that

yes name is PHILIPS... try getting any model after mid 2004, newer models will play any DL media as well too, older one may get into troubles somtimes with DL.

I 2nd the philips dvp642. I have 2 of them and they play most anything. K-Mart had them last week for $49. Wal-Mart is $58

I have 2 ol Apex players a $29 1225 and a $39 2600 that play everything my pc's make on - or + R DVD5 media +r booktyped as DVD-ROM DVD5 media and they work great on commercial pressed DL DVD's also. The current Apex models must be just as good if not better.
