DVD Regions

When I use DVD Shrink and this makes my copy 'region free' - can I play my burned copy on a DVD player in Canada & the USA. I live in the UK and any DVDs over here are Region 2 (Pal).

Your probaly still going to have to deal with the PAL and NTSC thing.

Thank you for your reply. Could you be more specific about "the PAL and NTSC thing".
Can you buy DVD Players & Recorders that will play Pal & NTSC? All I want to do is copy DVDs here in the UK and play them on my daughter's machine in Canada or likewise purchase DVDs in Canada and play them over here

It is possible to buy a player which supports NTSC & PAL, but you'd have to find out the make and model of your daughters machine to know if it will. Here is a recent thread about the issue.
