I've got a movie and a subtitle for it but i can't put them together can you tell me how i should do that, maybe i'm doing something else wrong

If the subtitle file is in .ssa format, you can use the ssa input filter for Virtualdub, found at http://www.virtualdub.org/virtualdub_filters

If it is in .srt format, there is a program that can convert it to .ssa format (which will, in turn, allow you to do the above). I've lost the link however, but I'm sure someone will drop by and leave a link here.

i already have virtualdub, but the link i had to get the other program didn't work, so if someone can get me a working link i would be very happy Anyway, thanks already i hope someone can help me
