Trouble Playing DivX

Right Here Goes

When i play my divx files in my player or players I`ve used (The Playa, WinDvd , BSPlayer, PowerDvd, Windows Media) and the Codecs (3.11 Alpha, 4.12 Bundle, Nimo Pack ,Divx 5.0)

The Film does not play right the sound is perfect but the film plays in slow motion on all my films. But I`ve got the Simpsons On DivX and they play fine. I`ve not Downloaded my movies i`ve got them from all over i`ve got 35 in total

I`ve got a 30Gb Hard Drive, G-Force 2 Mx400 Graphics Card , 224 Ram.

I Think i`ve tried every solution i can think off any advice will be much apprieciated

The latest codec forcibly takes over all DivX content playbacks, making the presence of 3.11a pretty much useless for playback. DivX5 is also an upgrade over 4.x and hence only the latest version (DivX5) will be found on your computer. I suggest you scrap DivX5, in favour of 3.11 and 4.x combo instead. I'm sure you will have fewer problems to deal with.

As a final note, what is your CPU speed?

Uninstall everything but divx 3.11 alpha. You seem to have in your possesion, a fairly able graphics card which should be able to play divx content. Follow Enchanter's steps.

As an alternative (this is what I do to watch my Simpsons episodes because I only have a Pentium 200

Download Yahooplayer or GDIVX
change color to 16 bit and drag the resolution down to 640x480
Don't run any backgroud applications

That should provide you with much improved playback.

You are an arrogant person, who expects too much from people trying to help. Batman and I were just trying to give help for your problem and all you can do is shout and treat us like servants??? Batman pointed you to a software and you most probably never bothered to look. I asked for your CPU speed and you're incapable of understanding that and can only mumble 'anybody else.' Geezz! Turn off your Caps Lock key (Typing in all caps is referred to as "yelling", which is considered to be rude - and is a real pain to BOTHER TO READ)

The video probably used an inappropriate audio/video interleave ratio.

Try the following:

1) Load the video into VirtualDub
2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "Save as WAV" and enter a new filename (with a .WAV extender) for the audio stream that you're about to save
3) Set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copying"
4) Set "Audio" to "No audio"
5) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "Save as AVI" and enter a new filename (with a .AVI extender) for the silent .AVI video that you're about to save
6) Exit VirtualDub (shut down the program)
7) Restart VirtualDub
8) Load your silent .AVI
9) From the "Audio" dropdwn menu, select "WAV audio"
10) Load the .WAV audio file that you created
11) Set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copying"
12) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "Save as AVI" and enter a new filename (with a .AVI extender) for the combined video/audio .AVI file that you're about to save

Im Sorry If I Offended Anybody Here. Its Just That I`ve Got A Large List Of Tools On A Website And They Didn`t Have It So I New (Batman) Was Online So I Posted A Message Straight Away So I Could Get Some Guidance. I Found The GDivx Player It Still Doesn`t Work.

And For My CPU Speed I Dont Know Where To Look For That So Im Sorry If I Sounded RUDE.
