Newbie help: vob file to append.

Ok, I admit it. I'm numb.
I poorly searched in this enormous forum and i'm still sitting here with a question: How the heck i can create a custom "insert disk # in your drive" vob file? It's possible to use a .avi file? I have to convert it in mpeg2?
I think that i can handle all the basics of dvd ripping and backup, now i trying to move on dvd backup+editing.
Please someone help me.

Here is what you can do: Make the screen in Paint or similar. Then download a trial of Ulead Video Studio at www.ulead.com. Then, insert the picture under Images, specify how long you want it to show, such as 10 seconds, or 1 minute, then hit Share and Make Disc. This willl make a VOB file from that.

You could use the OLD version of DVDFab v.0.17.0 ( get it at mrbass.org )

Just select "Create change graphic packet (CGP)"
