Burning procedure anyway

Hi!
I've everything I need to burn a DVD also if it has the protection Sony and/or so on.
Could you tell me in few words how can I do to burn it ?
I'd like to receive practical instructions in few words (i.e. the steps) about the way I can do this. I'm a junior user so I'd like an eloquent description.
