    AVI Compression help

    I just extraded a 58sec clip from my dv handycam and its a little over 250MB is there a free way to compress this down so that i may send to poeple and use on websites?

          i just installed virtual dub an opened movie, i dont see option to do this. im a newb iwth this. please tell me what to do when i have vid open
