    Editing audio_ts

    Hello,

I appologize if someone has already posted this question, but i truly did try to search for a thread.

I have converted a home movie from VHS to DVD and have a terrible sound problem with the movie. The tape has gotten bad, but my question here is - can you edit/modify the audio for this movie so that it could be clean and free form distortion or audio deteroation?

I understand that there are ways to extract the audio, but I just want to repair it . Even if that means burning a new copy from the (hopefully) repaired audio file.

Iam using Nero-7 for all my jobs, but I don't see a way of repairing the audio.

If there is another software program for doing this, I would be happy to buy or purchase it! These movies are priceless to me and my family .

    Thanks for any help -

    Hi BigMac,

IMHO, I don't think that you can fix or edit audio of your DVD without having to separate audio and video (demux) files first. For demuxing your DVD, you can use a wonderful freeware called PgcDemux to create the .m2v file for video and an audio file (.ac3, .wav,...). Then you can use Nero Wave Editor (It should come with your Nero 7.0) or use a free audio aditor called Audacity to edit the audio file. If the demuxed audio file isn't in WAV format, please use BeSweet or BeLight to convert it to WAV

If it is only a matter of VOLUME ENHANCEMENT, then u need not demux.Besweet(or Belight)can accept vob files. However, for more editing options(in Nero Wave Editor or Goldwave or Audacity),u will have to demux,as Ben rightly said.

What kind of audio format is it?

Go to the link below to download BeSweet version 1.4. If it is too hard for ypu to use, you can download BeLght and put both BeLight and BeSweet in the same folder and run BeLight to convert audio file from AC3 to WAV or anything you like
