Well, Nero won't burn to my Plextor Drive, so I use Roxio for that.

Any idea on how I can eliminate my problems with Nero and Roxio? Or Do I just need to use Roxio from now on?

I'd upgrade to Full Nero if I knew it would work without the problems I'm getting, and eliminate Roxio all together. But I'm sketchy on shelling out $ to do that if there's a good chance it still won't work.

I do have my Roxio disc, so I suppose I could uninstall it and find out. Then re-install if needed...

Do you recommend I do that?

I hate to say it but I would go Roxio, if you ever get a new computer or do a clean install then try nero full trial, your oem must be tied to your sony burner.

For my audio work I use cool edit and nero full.

A collegue of me had the same problem: "Illegal Disc". There was no Roxio software installed but MusicMatch.
The problem disappeared immediately after MusicMatch was removed

Yeah, my Nero is tied to the SONY burner. It will recognize my other burner, but will not burn with it.

I guess I'll stick with Roxio for the time being. Thanks for the help Chewy, it's appreciated.
