    Burning speed (ImgBurn)

I´ve been recommended not to burn faster than 2x since I´ve had some problems. I´ve done so, and a thousands of other things (flashing my DVD-RW with new firmware among other things), and now it seems to work OK. But my question is:

Today I thought I would try ImgBurn. In the program I get the info that my disc supports writing speeds of 4x and 8x. But I can change the settings to whatever speed I wish. Can I still use slower speed than 4x even though it says that my disc only supports 4x and 8x?

Yes, you can still lower the speed to 2x inside ImgBurn.

It just means under normal conditions you could burn this disc @ up to 8X. The general idea is half the maximum speed. If it says 4X - 8X you would normally burn that @4X.
