Unrelated topic

Got a question that is unrelated. I thought anyhow that everyone's expertise in conversions and nero etc maybe you could shed some light on the topic for me. I converted some song files to a wave format and went to burn a cd. However when i listen to the disc in my car I nearly max out my stereo just to be able to hear the tracks. Is there any way to increase the volume of the tracks? Thanks in advance.

Hi tea,

what is the "source" of the song files? for example, if you are recording them from cassette or LP or line in, source vol. might be set too low.

When I run across this prob. from doing old recordings from tape, etc. I use an awesome program called goldwave to bring the levels up.

Course, any good audio editing pgm. will do it for you.

if originally working with mp3's, i have seen this suggested before. not sure if it will help here?

use wavgain on the wav files (or as the LT suggested, mp3gain if originally mp3) before before you burn
