Hi All --- Anyone used this graphics card for taking a tv episode from a vhs tape putting it to your harddrive and then converting it to your VCD? Any help apprecaited as ATI they don't respond to any help questions, and you people have always been very helpful.

I use the ati 128 AIW.
    Had the same problems/questions.
Go to www.vcdhelp.com and you will find what you want to know. The key issue is: stop using capture with ATI software itself.
    I use now:

    1. VirtualDub for capture (great freeware tool, the best you can get). Creates a huge AVI. Don't play this file, it's quiet lousy to look at. But after encoding (TMPGenc) the result is OK.
    2. Huffyuv codec for a good codec (freeware too. Maybe you need contact me for installing. The instructions are quiet confusing, but after all it's simple).
    3. TPMGenc v2.54. The best encoder there is. Has frames for VCD SVCD for PAL and NTSC. And of course: freeware again.

I tested a lot and this gives the best results and it's freeware.

BUT YOU NEED A LOT DISCSPACE FOR TEMPORARY FILES.
