Hello all and thanks for taking the time to read this and maybe help.
My problem: I capture video with a "Hauppange WinTV PVR2" and then take the mpg2s into "Arcsoft Showbiz" to make dvds. Sometimes they will author really quick without having to "transcode" the files.........other times it takes forever and they must "transcode." This is quite frustrating considering I have successfully captured and authored before. I'm wondering if I have one of the settings off a little.
I generally use "Standard" DVD file quality setting for my capturing, and then I'm pretty sure I've got Arcsoft setup so that it's not compressing them. I've enclosed screenshots of the exact settings and video file properties.
I bought the PVR2 to make this smooth......it was for a while......no I cannot get the captures to author without transcoding-re-encoding, whatever. I've tried adjusting the quality in both programs in several combos. Please help.
