Mpeg-4 Demo Expired

I am currently using NeroVision Express 3 to burn files to dvd. Now I occasionally get this pop-up message saying that the mpeg-4 demo has expired when I add a file to be burned.



I also get this message when I add an xvid file to be burned.

My question is, what does this mean and will it effect the quality of of the dvd in any way?

Well, you won't be able to encode or decode an MPEG-4 video (this includes DivX, Xvid, H/X-264) without purchasing the add on from Ner0.

They'll find lotsa ways to make $$$ outa you.

Thanks for the reply, I have a few more questions though. Is mpeg-4 the standard for dvd video? Would it make that much of a difference? And anything other than DivX, Xvid, H/X-264 could still be encoded or decoded in mpeg-4 format?

For DVD compatible format, MPEG-2 is the one. Foe much smaller filesize and great quality, i would go for H264 or x264 and XviD, and MeGUI is superb tool for the job
