Can someone please tell me what an *.avs file is and how do u go about creating one?

.avs files are Avisynth script files. You can easily create one using any text editors, like notepad, out of a .txt file renamed to .avs. However, you need to know exactly the parameters and command lines to use in order to create a properly working one, in addition to having Avisynth installed in your system. A more convenient solution is to use GordianKnot, which automatically creates .avs files, based on what you input in its GUI.
