Gordian Knot - Re encode DivX/mpeg1/mpeg2 to DivX?

Can Gordian Knot do this? If not what else do i need? I am a new to divX encoding. :-

Gordian Knot would not alow me extract the audio and video from the same source file. The source files are encoded in divX mpeg1 and mpeg2. Maybe i need to extract the audio first then combine it with the video? I have looked through the software list at Digital Digest and there are too many programs to choose from!

What would you recommend to do this?

GordianKnot itself can only read DVD2AVI project files.

DVD2AVI can make projectfiles for vob files and mpeg2 files.

For reencoding divx and Mpeg 1 files just use vdub/nandub directly.
