Could use a little help here please

I have sorta just got turned on to viewing in .DivX and .avi formats and have not had to much trouble. I usually use Win Media player 7.01 or my DivX viewer but I have a couple of titles that show up blank when I try to play them. No sight , no sound. I realise .avi aloows for several differentformats compressions codex or whatever, but there is a hint in the title that might let you know what I have to do to view it
The file name is like this. moviename.vcd.tc-tfe~(TM. name).avi
So if anyone can give me any ideas I.d really appreciate it

there is no such thing as a hint in the title.

to find out what codecs you might need open the avi in nandub and take a look at file => file information.

It's also possible that you got yourself a fake (unplayable) file.
