write error 030C00

my CD/DVD burner has stoped working, up until now have always used CD-R now it says i need to insert CD-RW all the time, and I can't normaly press burn when i get to that part of the process, or it starts then gets right to the end and give me error- write error 030C00

i went to that thread before, confused the hell out of me, still cant burn cds

there seem like 3 likely scenarios
1. your computer is unstable
2. bad media
3. dying drive


try another drive
stabilize your computer
try your drive in another computer
try different media

well thats to confusing for me, the burner is only about 3 mths old, it says everywhere that it needs to have CD-RW but i just dont understand why cuz it has never been like that before
