I am new to all of this. So please reply with words I will understand.
As of now I use my TV as a monitor for my computer, and I have been inserting my DVDs in the computer to watch them. I got the idea that it would be nice to be able to just have them on an external hard drive and be able to browse my collection and click on one to watch. Is this possible? What do I need to do to be able to watch the movies straight from my computer, without having to put in a DVD. I assume I will have to convert it to another file format. Which is the best? What do I need? I already have most of them backed up'd. What do I do next?
