I have one HP 740b DVD writer and a TSST Corp DVD-ROM TS-H352C and when I use either of them to play a movie the movie skips jerkily and the sound also skips. I am using prerecorded dvd's not burned ones. I have updated the drivers on my Radeo Express 200 and updated the firmware for the 740. Also reinstalled the software from ATI with no luck towards an easy fix of this proble. Also restored the system to last summer with no help. Have run the movies while Task Manager is running and I get an average CPU usage rate of 36 but can see no spikes when the movie or sound skip.
I've looked in forums but was unable to locate this problem with purchased DVDs.
Thanks.
