    VideoStudio 6 Error Message....

When I want to start a New Project in Ulead Video Studio 6, the program
doesn't let me begin it with a video file (.AVI) stored on my hard drive. I
can't seem to work my way around this hurdle!

The error message reads: "No video capture driver installed in the system, or
    no device connected."

I don't have this problem with Cyberlink Power Director (v.3), but I'd much
    rather use UVS 6!

My OS is W2K. Thanks for any suggestions....

Are you in the CAPTURE tab of UVS ?
You ought to be in the EDIT tab to import video from hard disc.

There is no EDIT tab in UVS 6...however, it seems that video clips can be imported, for a New Project, after that error message finishes displaying.

Not apparent from a reading of the manual....
