    Bad Disc message

G'day folks, I have a massive problem with this Bad Disc message that I keep getting after I burn a DVD. The bloody thing works 'no dramas' on my PC but when I put it into the DVD player I get 'bad disc' sent back at me. I'm using Verbatim DVD-R discs and after scouring the forum a lil I see that this is one of the recommended discs here.
    Please help. S.O.S. Help me.

Maybe a burn log would be a good start.

I have had that happen ... may be your disc did not finalize correctly ... plays on desktop but stand-alone dvd players sees the problem!

Also, can you tell us the Name and Model of your Stand-alone player!?!?

I've got some cheap DVD player called an Audiosonic. The problem cannot be the player though coz I've made successful copies before. This problem has only arisen recently since getting a new computer. In the past I had a cd/dvd drive plus a dvd burner in operation. Now I only have the dvd burner so I'm thinking there maybe some new configuration that I'm not aware of.

Could be the media that you are using. Maybe the new burner does not like it. What are you using for the disk and what buner are you using.

            Hi Lewry,

I am guessing at this ... since you really never gave us the full detail ... told us about your Media, later about your DVD player ...

I am thinking it has to do with your Bunrer and or software used for burning ...

Q1: What software are you using to burn your DVD? Use ImgBurn is the best!

Q2: What DVD Burner are you using? Name and Model? Firmware Version?

Do not burn faster than half of your Rated Disc Speed and NEVER faster than 8x!

            G!
