Hi burnthis,

I think you are probably Burning Too FAST and also are low on Memory and the NERO chokes.

BTW, I think you can get Free Upgrade for your Nero all the way up to 6.6.1.4 for free ...

Download Packages 1, 2, and 4 ONLY ... NEVER, EVER use Package 3 or life will be misreable ... creates a lot of Conflicts with other Softwares and Drivers.

Also, your XP ... it is older version!?!? Right!

So I closed some files, removed ones I haven't used in a long time and I also got the software ImgBurn. My PC didn't want to work with Nero, so I was impressed when I downloaded the ImgBurn blutach referred me to. Worked right away, my daughter is watching one right now. Thank you all for your time and knowledge.

Im using ImgBurn, I can burn and verify my DVD's, but when we are watching one it stops part way through and we have to start the movie over and fastforward to just past when it stopped to keep watching.....any ideas, is this something I can fix?

Hi burnthis,

You most likely have a "Bad" spot on your dvd ... either fault of your burner or the fault of your blank or a combination.

Just out of curiosity what is the Blank DVD Brand that you used?

Burnthis ... download this program Nero DiscSpeed 4.11.4.0 and run the "ScanDisc" and choose Read Test, set speed at Max ... you will probably see a "BAD" Sector or "Damaged" Sector on it. My guess is it will be a Bad Sector.

If so then re-burn with a BETTER balnk media ... like Verbatim, or TY ... and burn at No Faster than half of the Rated Speed of your blank (so, if your disc says 8X, you Burn at 4X and so on) BUT never Faster than 8X.

ONLY use Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks. This sort of behaviour is usually exhibited by using the cheapest, crappiest discs around.

If you want its to work, get Verbs or Taiyo Yudens. If you wanna save some money and run the risks of not having it work, get anything else. Shell out the extra shekles for good media.
