    OGM files extensions

Completely new to this stuff, downloaded a divx rip of a movie, unpacked it and got a file with the extension OGM. Won't play in any divx players I have or windows media player. Anyone know what this file is and how I would make it veiwable?

      still confused

Went to the downloads page on that link, and wow tons of stuff availble, but I am so new to all this, I'm not sure what and where to download. I downloaded the ogg show filter implementation, and installed it, but it made no difference still cant watch the movie. Is there a certain player i need also or did I download the wrong thing?

Yes that is the correct one. Windows media player 6.4 should be able to play ogm files with that filter installed (it works on my computer ). exactly what error message do you get ?.

          re:

Think I've figured out the problem or my husband did anyways heh, we're using XP and also the latest version of WMP. My husband read somewhere that WMP later than the 6.4 has alot of problems with this. We downloaded a program called zoom that plays the movie just fine. I thank you for the help and directing me to where I needed to go to find all the info I needed.

Your husband is of course correct in saying, that wmp later than v6.4 has some problems, in fact I think that is an understatement.

I never use anything but wmp6.4.

            Happy to be of service
