    Simple audio delete request

Hello, I'm new here. I just want to delete a few words in one scene in a dvd movie. Any free software to do this before I burn it back?

You should be able to use a demuxer like MuxMan or PGCDemux to split the audio from the video. Then you can use any of a bunch of audio programs like Audacity to mess with the audio. You might want to put silence in rather than deleting so that you don't change the audio timing. Then just mux it back together. I'm sure Audacity would let you put in an effect like Silence on a selected range. AviDemux should also work and it's easy to use. Just open the main vob file and use the Audio menu to save the audio track. Use and audio program on it, then use the Audio Menu again and select external file and browse to the audio file you changed, and load it back. Then just save as DVD compliant vob.

I guess the easiest way depends on what guides you find that explain it best. Take a look at a few and see what's appealing.

Thanks Milesahead, that is exactly what I was looking for and will try the silence mode so not to mess any timing.
