vcd that looks like a DVD

Strange subject I know, but is there anyway of creating a VCD that operates similar to a DVD. i.e. not a disk that just plays but has menus etc.

I have a Dazzle VCII and moviestar cDVD creator which is very nice to use and creates all the funky stuff but will only create a DVD that uses software to run.

I also have MyDVD which does a similar thing but will not burn directly to CD.

Could tmpgenc do anything to help me out.

Try Nero burning rom. You have to encode the files in the Mpeg 2 format and make for the different chapter different files. You can choose for SVCD in Nero.

Thank you "Wer-Al Zwowe" & "johnbmx4christ" you help is appreciated.

Will Nero burn plain old simple VCD's as I am sure that not many DVD players will except the sVCD format - well the older ones anyway??

How much is Nero and if I trial it what doesn't it include?

        Thanks again

Yes, Nero will burn conventional VCDs.

Thanks guys. I have purchased Nero 5.5, easy cd creator 5 and I have dloaded TMPGENC.

I have produced my first although basic 15 min film with 4 seperate options for a menu, intro and outtro.

And all is well - so far!!!!

"I have purchased Nero 5.5, easy cd creator 5"

Those two programs do not peacefully coexist. I'd suggest that you stick with NERO and uninstall Easy CD Creator before you find neither program working properly...
