Can menu's be created ?

I just created my first DVD using Recode2, using 7 episodes I created. When I play the DVD, it just starts with the first episode and just continues on. Is it possible to create menu for DVD's created with recode or is just for making a movie DVD ?

I looked at it and I'm totally confused. Within the zip file are some "how to" files, one saying I need DVD lab pro, and it looked more confusing than title writer. I'm trying to create a DVD from two different sources, and just looks impossible. I'm a newbie at this DVD authoring genre, and it doesn't look promising.

Ttitlewriter is easy and only takes a minute. DVD Lab is not needed.

Download Titlewriter and the menu templates.

Do your Shrink session to a folder on the hard disk.

Load Titlewriter and select the video_ts.ifo of the shrinked files.

If you have 7 titles there will be title 1-7. Rename the titles to the names of the episodes by selecting each one.

Select one of the menu templates. These are different menu styles. Choose the episodic one.

Press save changes and exit

That's it.

Check the output in a DVD software player.

Didn't get the templates, I'll have to search for them unless you know the link. Yes, they are in a folder I have shrank them to, but there are 2 different video_ts.ifo files. I guess I'm supposed to select titles from the first .ifo file and put them on the menu, then select the next .ifo file and select the titles I want from that one. Does that sound correct ? When I use Titlewriter all I see is the detail info from the .ifo file, but haven't found a way to select the titles I want.

Templates are in the same place as the program.

There is always only one video_ts.ifo on a DVD. What you might be seeing is VTS_01_0.ifo, VTS_02_0.ifo etc. There is one of those for each title (episode) you put on the disc. You don't select those.

I apologize nwg, I wasn't very specific. Those video_ts.ifo files I was talking about are in 2 different folders because they are 2 different episodal DVDs. I'm trying to select all of the episodes from the first video_ts.ifo file (1st 4 episodes), then I'm trying to select the first 3 episodes from the 2nd video_ts.ifo file. If this is not possible, please let me know.

Make a compiliation in DVD Shrink containing all the episodes you want. Let it finish. Boot TW and select shrunk folder. Count the number of Titles in DVD Text window and select a Generic template that handles more titles then you have

As FallenAngel has said. You need to create a new DVD with 7 episodes using Shrink's reauthor mode. Then, you will get a set of files similar to that picture.

Thanks all. I'll give it a shot. I've got the templates downloaded and installed, but can't seem to bring one up. But I'll start with the combo idea with DVD shrink and go from there.

PS: I've found that NeroVision will let me add these titlles and create a menu to go with them. It looks GREAT. But when I burn it, the audio starts off on time and gradually gets all out of sync. Never heard of that in a Nero burning process before. Just thought you'd find it interesting.
