    Burn process failure

I have successfully backed up DVD's using DVDShrink and Nero Express. Suddenly this now does not work for me. I can encode the files onto the hard drive but when it automatically starts the burn process it then fails quite soon after. I have uninstalled DVShrink and NERO and re-installed both and also updated NERO but the problem still exists. What has gone wrong ? I have included dthe error log that is brought up when the burn fails.

Hi and welcome to the forum, portadownred!

Enable your DMA for the burner and reader.

      Hi Cynthia,

I have checked out the link to the DMA thread. I have checked the promary and secondary settings and I needed to uninstall and reinstall as the settings were different. There are still some differences - mine show Ultra Mode 4 and not Ultra Mode 5 and also on the secondary IDE, Device 1 shows 'Not Applicable' in the Current Transfer Window and Auto Detection is available as the pop down. Am I safe to continue. ?

Yes. Also read the Golden Rules of Burning in my signature. In particular, take note of burning speed (4x max), removal of InCD and updating your firmware - see here.
