Editing Video in Nero Express

Hi,

I edited a video in Nero Express, cut out the commercials in a movie, and when I try to play the split video back, the commercials are still there. What am I doing wrong?

When you edit the video and are in the edit menu (where you can place cut marks) the video will still play on as normal. You have to finish editing the clip which will split it into two clips. Once you split it and are back at the screen where all the clips/chapters are lined up together, you're good to go and the dvd should burn as you have edited it. I edited some of the trashy parts out of Walking Tall and it worked fine; I was confused at first when I saw the "cut out" part still playing, but was still in Edit mode.

Thanks for replying! After leaving the edit mode w/ my file split, the content screen says that my movie is only 5 mins long. That is the size of the first split but the movie is split up into 7 segments now. Is seems incorrect. What's wrong??
