dvd43 the best to use with Recode 2? (problems with Fun w/ Dick & Jane)

I have Nero 7 Ultra and Recode 2 (latest versions) along with the 3.9.0 version of dvd43. This combo has served me well with 99% of the videos out there. I have had a few hiccups here & there lately. The main one being Fun with Dick And Jane. I have read through the forum and found answers pertaining to other software but was wondering if anyone had a successful backup with this combo of software? Is there a better program then DVD43 to use with Recode?

    Thanks!

in my opinion yes there is a better software to use with recode the best and simplist and most reliable is dvd region+css but it is not free the next best option in my opinion is dvdfab decrypter which is a free software i tried dvd 43 and it was nothing but trouble it caused problems with other programs i have on my machine and was not as reliable dvd region or dvdfab

Tried DVDfab decrypter (2.9.7.9) which successfully ripped the dvd to my hard drive. Then tried to recode the result and recieved the same read error in Recode. Interesting...I am stuck!

Then try Dvd Shrink after DvdFab.

Hmmm...another interesting dilemma. I just tried to recode another non copy protected DVD video and I keep getting a failed to read error with recode. Here I think it is the DVD itself but I ripped it to a hard drive folder and the same error occurs when I try to use that one.

It says "Failed to Read from file VTSxxxxxx" Where x is a variable.

Very frustrating...anyone know what causes this?
