I'm attempting to burn a movie with the latest version of Nero Recode 2 (Hamburger Hill) and every time I try to burn it, it will just randomly close out at differnt points in the process. I've tried burning just the main movie versus the main movie+menus and the same thing still happens. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for the help Dan, but it certainly isn't an overheating problem, because I actially tried it on two differnt computers and it did the same thing. It ends up closing out in both processes. When I do a burn at once it gets to 5.6% and then closes and when I do the regular encode and burn process it gets to about 16% then closes. Burning just the main movie gets to about the same spot as well. I'm thinking it may have something to do with the condition of the DVD I'm copying from, because in one of my trials I was able to get an error message that said it couldn't read one of my VOBs. Would I be correct in my assumption? I actually used the same NEC burner that you have as well, with the latest firmware.Comment

Yes, that is what I am thinking too.
You have likely tried to clean it, if not there are a few threads about it on the forum.
I have had great success using DVD Decrypter and lowering the read speed to 4x or so. It takes awhile but can get the job done.
It also depends on the burner. Some are great readers, some built for quick ripping.
Here is a thread on cleaning started the other day. It also mentions ISOPuzzle which might help too. Good luck!
