My first DVD-ripping/DivX encoding experience has been bloody frustrating. The ripping part was OK, but the real problems begun with FlaskMPEG. First of all, I tried the earlier version, but I couldn't encode crap with it, because it just keep saying "AVIFileOpen doesn't worked. VFW-Errorcode.." and so on. I tried everything, and I do mean everything. But guess if something helped? Of course not. The last piece of advice all the FAQs were giving, is "reinstall windows". What?! I just installed it a couple of days ago on a brand new hard drive!
And then, as some mysterious force of divine intervention blasted through my brain, I thought I'd give the new version of FlaskMPEG a try.
It turned out to be a bit better than the earlier version, as it actually started encoding and actually finished it! But my happyness was premature. As I soon found out, it had only encoded the first VOB. Things were getting interesting. Now, on some online msg board like this, full of worthless advice that never actually work, I found out that I have to download a thing called thunder.msim or something. That I did. Extracted it to the root folder of FlaskMPEG. Tried encoding again. I bet you're now full of anxiousness and such? Well, don't be, because surprise surprise, it didn't work. Again, it only endoded the first VOB.
Now, there are two possibilities. Either I'm totally retarded idiot lacking even the basic comp skills, or FlaskMPEG is a buggy piece of crap that never works for like the half of users out there.
Oh, and if somebody really has a good piece of advice, please do enlighten my retarded brain a little.
