    help with vdub

hi, i'm a bit of a newbie, so sorry if this is a bit stupid
how do i add subtitles to divx files using vdub and ssa sub files, WITHOUT compressing the actual video. just stamping on the subs, without changing the quality of the video, divx -> divx with subs.
i wanted to use this method as i only know how to edit ssa subs (fonts, antialiasing, etc.), thanks

The easiest way is to use a player that supports subtitle like PowerDivxNextGen or BSPlayer. Simply name your subtitle file the same as the movie and put it into the same folder and the player will load it automatically or load it manualy into the player if he doesn't.

yeah, i've done that, but i still prefer stamping the subs on, coz
      1) i want to use anti aliasing to smoothen the fonts
      2) i want to add shadows
      3) i want to change font/colour of subs
i already know how to do those, but i still need to know how to add the subs without changing the video's quality, format, or anything else.
