I just got Blade 2 and spiderman they are both GREAT QUALITY and 2 dscs but i checked the properties of them and they use 3.11 just wondering if i should be using that i have been useing divx 5

Different people have different opinions on which codec version is better. I personally find both to be great looking, in a vaguely different way. What should matter more to you is which is easier to use, and I can definitely say that DivX 5 is the winner in this area. To be able to encode in high-quality DivX 3 (that means 2-pass encoding), you need to use nandub, which isn't the easiest program to learn. DivX 5 has much fewer options, making it simple to use and yet still capable of attaining high-quality.
