16:9 movie problem

Yo!

How can I get a 16:9 DVD movie convert to avi with keeping the ratio?
I ripped the vob, thats ok 16:9.
After, I used dvd2avi v1.76 with divx5, but I got the avi in 4:3.
Can I set anywhere to keep the ratio 16:9? I could not find.
Or any other program?

Flask (instead of DVD2AVI) will gladly accept a checkmark in the box "Keep ratio"...
