Help Me! Please!

Hello.

I am a complete newbie to making DivX movies, and on my first attempt, I AM STRUGGLING!

I have downloaded DivX 5.02 and GordonKnot 0.26beta and there seems to be a BIG PROBLEM! I sucessfully ripped a DVD, and followed the guide.

The end result after 4hours was a movie with the top half OK, but the lower half all screwed up! Any ideas??

Try getting the o.26.1 path for GKnot, afaki this is caused by a bug with one of the deinterlace options, which is fixed in the 0.26.1 patch.

I managed to do the conversion without the deinterlace option. Just wondering what effect selecting the option makes on the final resulting quality.

You should only use the deinterlace options if you have interlaceing problems that cannot be solved in other ways.
