    Audio Problems

    Hi!

After converting a DVD into DivX5 following the Digital-Digest Article I have a perfect 1 Gig AVI with video and autio fully synchronized. Very well. (Audio: LAME, VBR 192)

Now I need to split it up to burn it.
I have tried that with VirtualDub and NanDub and all that happens is that I have two AVI files as I wanted but one of them has Audio to the half and the other one doesnt have any audio at all.

How is that? I've tried it even by encoding audio using CBR but still the same happens.

    Please help me!

    Cheers

That is odd indeed. the only thought that comes to mind (since the procedure under VirtualDub is very much a standard methodology, that I've personally used literally hundreds of times) is that the LAME audio codec may be at the root of your problem.

I'd suggest that you try deinstalling the LAME codec and instead install the radium (Fraunhoefer) .MP3 codec, reboot your ssytem and retry the procedure.

By thew ay, you are setting BOTH "Video" and "AUDIO" to "Direct Stream Copy", aren't you?
