tmpgenc won't open my avi files????????

hi to all can someone plz help?????? my system crashed a month ago so i had to reformat my hard drive therefore i lost most of programs including my tmpgenc which was working fine it was the old version 12a so now i re-installed tmpgenc but the new version 2.58 and now all i get is "the avi file does not open or unsupported message" on all avi movies even the ones that use to work before????? help anyone plz??????

Is the required companion VFAPI file installed?

hi setarip what did you mean by VFAPI file???? all i did was install the software if the VFAPI doesn't come with it then it means that i don't have it and where do i go to get it?????all i did is that i put the QT reader file with tmpgenc folder.....

Grab VFAPI plug-in here (included in the latest Free release (2.59.47.155))
