    codecs won't uninstall

I'm trying to remove all the divx codecs I have on my machine (3.11, 4,5.02). I've used the uninstall freature that comes with the install programs (for instance Nimo). However, the codec dll files and whatever references still remain on my machine.

I've gone through 'control panel'->sounds and multimedia'->'Hardware'->'audio codec' / 'video codec'->properties and removed all the codecs, but after I reboot my machine, they all appear again!!!

Anyone have a list of files to delete, or what reg keys to change, etc? Thanks!

      codec sniper?

I downloaded the Tsunamis 3.9.3 Codec & Filter Pack, but see nothing about a "codec sniper", nor can I find it in any searches. Did I miss something?

393 is too old and does not contain the codec sniper.

get yourself version 397 from my page

When I had originally uninstalled the codecs, several traces were left on my computer (which I was trying to get rid of). I decided to reinstall all the divx drivers and run the uninstall again- for some reason it worked this time. However, I was able to use the sniper app to get rid of another non divx codec I don't use anymore. Thanks.
