    TMPGEnc Plus and 2.35:1 Vids

I'm having some problems with TMPGEnc Plus and movies that are 2.35:1

Trying to take divx/xvid and converting to (s)vcd's, but every time i load up a file of this aspect ratio and choose the source to be 2.11:1, the encoding process will not even start.

I'm thinking perhaps i could just leave the box with the source's aspect ratio as 1:1(VGA), but if anyone has a suggestion on how to fix this, please let me know!

    thanks in advance

If the DivX (or XviD) includes upper and lower black bars, select 4:3 aspect ratio under both "Video" and "Advanced"...

unfortunately not, i believe this was a DVD rip (650x252)

Perhaps there's another VCD encoding tool that doesn't encounter (ie can handle) this problem?

        "(650x252)"

TMPGEnc can't properly handle resolutions/aspect ratios that are not divisible by 8...

Use VirtualDub or NanDub's "Resize" filter to change the resolution to 640x256...

Would this work: VDub as frameserver? Therefore resize "On the fly"?
