Ok. Well restarting would be your first bet..

Knowing you step 1 has already been done countless times.

What all players have you used and MPEG and AVI will not work or what are we talking here

well, for starters, I already rebooted. The files (all avi's) have worked before. I used wmp6.4, wmp6.4.9, bsplayer, powerdivx, realone player... All seem to not want to frickin' load!!!

sorry for the bad picture, it was the smallest filesize.

Have you messed around with any particular programs lately or edited the registry? Your best bet would be system restore. Assuming you have it turned on, go back a few days...

judging by your screenshot you have had nimo installed, right?

type this from your run command and try loading your file again:

            regsvr32.exe /s /u TfMAudio.ax

actually, I just switched from nimo to Tsunami a couple of days ago. I will try that thing later. I haven't ever edited the registry, so, I don't think that it is a problem. I had movies work before on the Tsunami pack, but it isn't now...

the audio codec that causes trouble in your case is NOT included in tsunamis filterpack.

                simply get rid of it.

ok. I did that thing, and I can now play my files, except in wmpp6.4, the aspect ratio is waaaay wrong, and the picture is upside down...

and the picture is upside down...

                    again thank nimo

uninstall nimo or make sure to delete any divxg400 filters from win\system + get rid of any reference to this g400 in your registry.

                    regsvr32 /u DivXG400.ax

and install a filterpack like tsunami 397, which is reliable compared to nimo
