I am having this problem playing Divx. I install the 5.0.3 codec and player, and also 3.11. But Unlike before in my computer I cannot edit the settings of divx in Media player and it also does not play in media player, but ti plays fine in the divx player. What could this problem be? It also seems like even though I install the codecs it doesn't detect it either. Am I missing some registry values or something? I deleted some to try to remove all of divx cleanly.

Run the command 'mplayer2.exe' from the Run Command. The player WMP 6.4 will be loaded up.
Use that player to play the AVI file and you should now be able to set the decoder properties.Comment
