Make sure you DID NOT delete the original vob files and make sure you didnt save the .d2v file in a different location other than the where the vob files are

            ! A solution !

I had exactly the same problem with VFAPI Reader.

... and though Google brought me here, I was left hanging ...
            - so - I had another desperate doodle around .. - and stumbled on the (a?) solution.

I seemed to have everything installed as required.

Out of desperation, I finally had a shot at starting the prog at it's source - i.e. I clicked the exe in the directory in which it was installed rather than starting up through a link - and !!gasp!! it worked!

I discovered that the link I used to startup the prog didn't instruct the prog to startup in it's installation directory, and so it didn't see the required files.

So - make sure that the link you use to startup the prog sets the startup directory to be the directory where the prog and those required required 'dll's is installed.. (if you see what I mean)

            (I had a similar error running DVD2AVI.
In the "help" menu, if I started the prog through a link, the "VFAPI Plug-In" wasn't ticked.
But when I started it directly from its own directory, "VFAPI Plug-In" was ticked)

            (whew)
