    Vobsub with WinXP?

Ok, I just got a new comp and I installed WinXP as an OS. After installing all needed DivX codecs I found that vobsub doesn't work on my system (It doesn't show texts, in other words..). Is this because of WinXP or something else?

    Just a preamble:

Your subtitle file must have the same name as your movie file, less the extension. For example: movie.srt and movie.avi

When VobSub starts up, right-click on the icon to ensure that your subtitles are activated.

      @ mrk

      vobsub works fine with xp
did you actually activate the subtitle stream when playing back the file or how did you try to start the subs or which files do you have at hand?

      @ wildmanjoe

the subs might be part of the file like in ogm or matroska
