    Nero overburn

I have recently upgraded from Nero 5.5 to 6 and the overburn will not work.

It worked great in 5.5 on my Pioneer 106 DVD burner. I am using the same disks. these are infinity 99min cds.

I have set the expert settings to 99 min and switched on the overburn.

However it comes up with not enough space etc. the file types I am trying to burn are bin files of svcd films or data files none larger than 810mb.

I have even done a clean install of XP pro sp1a to try to solve the problem.

    Can any one help please?

      pioneer 106 overburn problem

      Hi demonracer,
I know a way you can overburn with the pioneer 106.

I have tried to iverburn a CDR every wgich way possible with this burner and almost came to the conclusion it wasn't possible.

I must have tried every burning software to man with the same error about an 'Invalid parameter'.

I don't know why Nero and the others won't allow overburn and actually I'm surprised you say got it working in verson 5.5 (which version exactly)

Anyway the only that I can overburn is by using clone CD.

First I create the SVCD image with VCDeasy then I load that into DAEMONtools. Then just use the CD to CD copy option in clone CD and it works fine.

      Hope it helps.
