virtual dub/vobsub problem

I am trying to make a movie in virtual dub but no mather how often I install vobsub and virtual dub, in filters in virtual dub I just do not get "textsub" and if I try to load "textsub" I get an error window. I use vobsub 2.23 and virtual dub 1.5.1.1. (because this contains the function stream and I read somewhere that I first need to change the audio from mp3 to ac3 and than the movie from 23. ... to 25.000 fps) or does sombody know how to do so with virtual dub 1.5.4?

What exactly are you trying to achieve (I can't figure out why you specifficaly nead ac3 and 25fps)
Can't answer the vobsub question, but i can suggest an alternative: virtualdub's own subtitler plug-in.
