Help with subtitles ? :)

Sorry if this has been brought up before, or if it's in the wrong area.

I'm trying to get a subtitle file to work with an AVI, and I downloaded FFDshow, which wouldn't play the subs. So i grabbed VobSub and now the players crash whenever I try and play the .avi

Affected players I've tried, WinMedia, Winamp 2 and ViPlay.

I would appreciate any help I could get thank you.

Problem solved thanks! FFDshow was conflicting with VobSub.

a quick uninstall and i'm good.

The Bs player and the MV2 Player do not need vobsub installed!!! to display subs
