    Nandub,Vdub,Vdub Mod Error...

I get the same error in all of these programs when i try to encode an .avi file....

    the error reads this:
"Dub/IO-Video Error: File Read Error (8004406d)"

The error always occurs on the exact same video fram on each attempt... video frame number: 26 305.

Ok i want to know if there was a way around this....?

I basically have a .avi file that will not open in tmpg.enc unless i encode it or wateva with nandub first...to make a 2nd .avi file in a different location.

So if there is a program other then tmp.enc that will open the .avi file and encode to mpeg straight away can you plz tell me what that program is...

Or if there is a way i can open the original .avi file then save it as a different .avi file.....using nandub or any v dub mod...or any other .avi editing program.

I have absoloutely no idea why tmpg.enc does not allow this...?

Sorry if my questions are hard to understand but i am desperate and really would appreicate some help on this matter

    Thanx In Advance.

          1) Load the .AVI file (DivX-compressed or otherwise) into the most recent version of either VirtualDub or VirtualDubMod

          2) Set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copy"

          3) Select "Check for errors"

          4) Select "Mask bad frames"

          5) Save with a new filename
